The few drinks I had were very good.Mariner of the Seas was one of the first Royal Caribbean ships to get a Royal Amplified update in 2018. We only made two of our three ports of call - high winds keep us from docking in Nassau, Bahamas. I think they're no longer used to sailing at full capacity. The crew were mostly polite, but seemed confused at times (for example, at the muster drill). Because the ship was a charter cruise, it was filled close to or at capacity. Studio B, which is normally the ice-skating rink, featured bands all week, and that venue was a great deal more comfortable. The Royal Theater was uncomfortable for large people - the seats are too narrow. Consequently, we never had the same wait staff two nights in a row. Because of the nature of the cruise, everyone sat at different tables in the MDR every night. The food in the MDR was usually good, but the food at The Windjammer and from room service was more inconsistent. Unfortunately, the ship itself was only so-so. The entertainment lineup was really good. I thought the company that put it all together, ECP, did a great job. This was a Charter Cruise featuring a bunch of 1980s artists (e.g., The Human League, Night Ranger, etc.) and themes.
