Thanks for looking!Ī super nice Custom Schwinn Heavy-Duti serial# HE213335 with factory paint in great condition.Schwinn tubular S-2 chrome wheels,with the factory hubs running Carlisle Lightning Dart whitewall tires with excellent tread front and rear,factory handgrips,handlebar,riser,cranks, wheels and spokes.With the following stuff added flared Wald chrome fenders,stretched rear fender,custom made leather hub polishers,hub caps,fringed out,chrome springer front fork,headlight,horn tank,sweetheart sprocket,fringed springer seat with rail,cage pedals,No rust,nothing stripped out and rides like a dream!I don't like to give nothing a 10 but this bike might deserve it!It will draw attention and compliments every time you ride it.Always garaged,never abused,always adult owned.I am the 2nd owner.Will need to be shipped in 2 boxes or local pick-up is preffered. For more than 125 years, Schwinn has been giving people the joy and freedom to get out and enjoy the ride. Seat is not original but looks good and is very comfy! This is for local pick-up in Pacific Beach. more which can be raised high and will not bend unlike the original which bends easily if raised too high. Bike also comes with a solid aluminum seat post. Bike comes with handlebars made by Wald which I think makes the bike easier to ride but I do have the original handlebars and will give them to the new owner. Both front& rear hub bearings were recently cleaned and re-greased so bike rides nice& smooth. They have lots of tread left and hold air well. Tires are newer production Schwinn"WESTWIND" made in Taiwan. this is a nice addition to my collection. Clean and pack all the bearings, this bike is very hard to fine in red. Removed all the rust off all the chrome, clean and polished the paint. I just got done putting my bike back together. For those unfamiliar, Klunkers were converted cruisers with knobby tires that pioneered mountain biking back in the mid 70s. Sharing some pictures of my 1971 Schwinn Heavy Duti Survivor. Spokes, handlebar neck, pedals, chain, chain guard, front axle, rear axle, seat springs, kickstand, and various spots on frame. This will be the basis for a Klunker style build. Made in Chicago! It has a vintage Schwinn bell with a vintage Schwinn carry pouch mounted on the back of the seat with a schwinn vintage patch kit and lock. Kevin- I have a question regarding the Schwinn Heavy Duti, do you know part number of the fender reflector? I have a 1966 same color which I'm looking for the reflector. This is Kevin's all original 71 Schwinn Heavy Duty with original Schwinn tractor tires. Thank you grapegringo, for the nice comment. If you would ever consider selling, I am willing to pay the price!!!! Please keep that in mind, although I realize this has sentimental value. I am trying to find one like this and I'm also working on a restoration to create such a nice Heavy Duti. I think 1967 was the first year for the Schwinn Handy Strap on Tool Bags.
